Dental Policy

Dental Policy concerns system-level decisions that influence how oral healthcare is regulated, funded, staffed and delivered. Workforce rules, reimbursement, access programmes, prevention policy, professional role boundaries, commissioning and public oral-health planning may all fall within scope, but their authority and effect depend on the issuing body and jurisdiction. Policy reporting should distinguish law, regulation, professional standards and proposals still under consideration. System governance is the defining level of analysis, keeping policy distinct from individual chairside recommendations and from proposals that have not yet become final rules.
