The Young Dentist is an editorial publisher focused on helping readers understand developments in dentistry and oral health through evidence, professional context and clear editorial judgment.
Our role is not simply to report that a study, product, policy or technology exists. We aim to explain what it means, how strong the underlying evidence is, which limitations matter and which parts of a claim come from independent evidence, professional interpretation or commercial sources.
The word “Young” reflects a mindset of continuing learning, curiosity and professional development. It does not restrict the publication to a particular age group or career stage.

Not every article is intended for every reader. Professional material may use appropriate clinical terminology, while patient-facing material should explain important concepts clearly without implying that an online article can replace an individual examination, diagnosis or treatment plan.

- Evidence before certainty
- Preliminary or limited evidence should not be presented as more conclusive than it is.
- Primary sources where possible
- Important claims should be traced to original research, official documents, professional guidance or other authoritative sources where reasonably possible.
- Clinical usefulness
- Reporting should help readers understand what a development means in practice rather than merely repeat a headline or press release.
- Clear source boundaries
- Manufacturer specifications, promotional claims, independent research and editorial assessment should not be treated as interchangeable.
- Editorial independence
- Advertising and commercial relationships do not determine independent editorial conclusions.
