Dental Floss 4 articles

Dental Floss is a thin filament or bundle passed through tooth contacts to mechanically clean proximal surfaces that a standard toothbrush cannot reach directly. The user guides it against each tooth in the interdental space and below the contact while avoiding forceful snapping into the gingiva. Floss is especially suited to tight contacts, although wider embrasures may be easier to clean with an interdental brush. The term covers several materials and coatings, including waxed, unwaxed, expanding and PTFE products, but excludes water flossers and rigid interdental picks.
