Dental Crowns 2 articles

Dental Crowns concerns indirect restorations that cover much or all of the clinical crown of a tooth when more limited restoration is not appropriate. Treatment planning considers remaining tooth structure, ferrule, pulpal and periodontal status, preparation design, margin position, material choice, provisionalisation, occlusion and cementation. Fit, fracture, debonding and recurrent disease influence longevity. Full-coverage restoration is therefore the central question, without assuming that every heavily restored tooth automatically benefits from a crown.
