On November 1, 2026, Midwest Dental Equipment & Supply is scheduled to add Dentsply Sirona's US technology portfolio to its offering. The companies already work together on consumables. This agreement extends that relationship instead of creating a wholly new sales channel.
Dentsply Sirona was formed in 2016 through the merger of DENTSPLY International and Sirona Dental Systems. Its portfolio spans consumables, equipment, CAD/CAM, imaging, treatment centers and specialty dentistry.
A distribution deal built around local support
Midwest Dental was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Wichita Falls, Texas. It is the largest independent family-owned distributor in the Southern U.S. The company serves dental professionals nationwide.
Its sales, service and technical teams work on the ground in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arkansas. Customers across the country can also use its services.
That local network explains the commercial logic of the agreement. Midwest Dental says customers will get access to training, technical expertise and local service support alongside Dentsply Sirona's technology portfolio. The distributor already sells consumables through its relationship with Dentsply Sirona. Its wider offering also includes equipment and digital workflows.
The available announcement does not disclose the agreement's financial value, shipment volumes, minimum purchasing commitments or a revenue forecast. Independent reporting also does not provide separate comments from regulators, customers or competitors.
"Midwest Dental has built strong relationships across the markets it serves, from independent practices to larger customer groups, making it an important partner as we continue expanding access to connected dentistry," said Mark Bezjak, Group Vice President, Americas RCO at Dentsply Sirona. "By bringing our technology portfolio to Midwest Dental's customers, we are extending the reach of a connected ecosystem designed to help practices improve efficiency, simplify workflows and support long-term growth."
Seventh dealer enhancement in 2026
Matt LeVasseur, Chief Executive Officer at Midwest Dental Equipment & Supply, said the company is adding Dentsply Sirona's portfolio to help customers choose technology suited to their practices. An interview report on the agreement attributed to LeVasseur said the expanded portfolio would help Midwest Dental offer more digital dentistry solutions. Local service technicians, training and technical expertise would support those products.
The agreement follows technology partnerships with Benco Dental Supply Co., Burkhart Dental Supply Co., Nashville Dental Inc., The Atlanta Dental Supply Company and Medline Sinclair. Dentsply Sirona also renewed its partnership with Patterson Dental. The company identified the Midwest Dental arrangement as its seventh North American dealer partnership enhancement in 2026.
Digital dentistry distribution has drawn sustained attention. An earlier market report examined the wider expansion of digital dental imaging.
The strategy is straightforward. Dentsply Sirona wants wider customer access and stronger coverage in key markets. Established distributors can support the adoption of connected technology.
Midwest Dental brings a regional service network and an existing customer base. The public announcement does not quantify the deal's expected financial contribution. The expansion is commercial, not yet financial.
