Complete denture 1 article

Complete denture is a removable prosthesis that replaces all teeth and associated lost tissues in an edentulous upper or lower arch. Treatment involves impressions, jaw-relation records, tooth arrangement, try-in and fabrication of a denture base that relies on tissue support, border extension and occlusion for function and retention. It differs from a partial denture because no natural teeth remain in the treated arch, and from an implant-supported fixed prosthesis because the patient can remove the denture for hygiene and maintenance.
