Dentures 1 article

Dentures are removable prostheses used to replace missing teeth and, in complete cases, associated oral tissues. Design and performance depend on support, retention, stability, impression accuracy, jaw relations, occlusion and the condition of the mucosa and remaining teeth. Partial dentures also raise questions about clasps, rests and hygiene around abutments, while complete dentures rely more heavily on anatomy and patient adaptation. Ongoing care includes sore-area review, cleaning, relining and repair rather than treating insertion as the end of treatment.
