Periodontal charting 2 articles

Periodontal charting records measurements and clinical findings around individual teeth to describe periodontal status over time. A full chart may include probing depths, gingival recession, clinical attachment levels, bleeding on probing, furcation involvement, mobility and plaque-related observations at multiple sites per tooth. These data support periodontal diagnosis, treatment planning and monitoring during supportive care. The chart is a structured clinical record and should be interpreted with radiographs, risk factors and the wider examination rather than as an isolated score.
