Teledentistry 1 article

Teledentistry delivers selected dental assessment, communication and follow-up through remote technologies rather than requiring every interaction to occur in person. Live video, store-and-forward images and secure messaging can support triage, access, referral and review, particularly where travel or service availability is limited. Consent, privacy, image quality and diagnostic uncertainty remain important, and some problems still require direct examination or imaging. Remote assessment and escalation define the service model, while problems that require direct examination or treatment still need an in-person pathway.
