Teeth Whitening 1 article

Teeth Whitening uses peroxide-based bleaching to lighten natural tooth colour without changing tooth shape. Treatment may be provided with home trays, in surgery or through regulated products, but outcome depends on the cause of discolouration and the condition of the teeth and restorations. Sensitivity and gingival irritation are common considerations, and existing restorations do not whiten in the same way as enamel. Bleaching indications, limitations and maintenance remain the focus, distinct from polishing away surface stain or changing colour through restorative treatment.
