Veneers 1 article

Veneers are thin bonded restorations, commonly ceramic, used to alter the visible surface of selected teeth when more conservative options do not meet the treatment objective. Planning considers enamel availability, preparation design, shade masking, tooth position, occlusion and the condition of existing restorations before irreversible tooth reduction is undertaken. Adhesive cementation, marginal integrity, fracture, debonding and future replacement influence maintenance. Veneer planning, preparation, bonding and maintenance are the specific subject, rather than cosmetic dentistry in general.
