Allograft Bone Substitute 1 article

Allograft Bone Substitute is graft material derived from human donor bone and processed for use as a scaffold in oral and periodontal bone augmentation. It may be placed in extraction sockets, periodontal defects or implant-site grafting procedures when additional mineralized tissue volume is required. Processing and composition vary among products, and the material is distinct from autograft harvested from the same patient, xenograft derived from another species and fully synthetic substitutes manufactured from ceramic or polymeric materials.
