Private dentistry 1 article

Private dentistry describes dental care financed outside a publicly commissioned or universally funded service arrangement, typically through direct patient payment, private insurance or a combination of the two. Practices operating privately may set their own fee structures and service models within the professional and consumer rules of their jurisdiction. The term concerns how care is funded and provided, not whether the practice is independently owned, corporate, specialist or general. Public and private elements can also coexist within the same dental market or practice.
