A chairside manufacturing system links digital case capture and design with in-office production of a restoration, appliance or other dental object. Depending on the system, fabrication may use milling, 3D printing or both, often within a same-visit restorative workflow. The concept spans scanning, CAD, material processing and finishing rather than one machine alone.
